Trading Shares
I trade shares. And Indicies. And currencies. I have been trading the markets for some 20 years, although on a far more serious note for the last 10, with this last year or so on a full time basis - trading intra-day and taking positions alike. I had been primarily working on the Corporate Finance side of the 'wall' in the City, sourcing and vetting young companies for investment, but decided that even though 'there are Chinks in a Chinese Wall' and was constantly calling the dealers for prices (or getting nudges from them), I actually wanted to be hands on again, properly. Full time trading, with no 6.43am train to Waterloo, drain to Bank, walk from Bank, the reverse of the same again at 5.30pm; it's so much better... Having done 'OK' over the years, and not really having to worry about income, I wanted to play like I used to. I do still keep involved to some extent with my old Firm (and have interests in another newer firm and a fund manager), but now basically trade full time, without the commuting. So there's the history!
I take long positions, both in the sense of the word (time) and trader speak (buy), and short positions (trader speak - short sell). I also take pre-IPO and Private Placing positions. I trade the Dow opening (Nasdaq, S&P 500, Russell as well, depending on overnight changes etc.), which is a nice daily income. Trade the Gap!
I trade Forex & Indicies with help from the guys at Market Bytes. Excellent video and forcasts each morning. A real must. There is a free trial and then minimal ongoing cost. 300-1,000 pips a week. just read the testimonials. This is no joke.
And Meta Trader 4 Software... It is excellent. Why not trade in and out of your longer holds? I do. I also trade CFDs and Spread Bet. It is a good way of gearing your cash. This program is a swing trader's dream - and it works!

Success Stories
A minimum of 100 pips per day is no longer impossible for me. MB very educational. The traders are very helpful, even if you ask silly questions. Their daily market reports and notes is my favorite. Someone does the analysis for you, so its up to you [to place the trade]. Just listen, look and learn their daily setups. What can I say? A very powerful weapon indeed. you need keep in touch, practice and do your homework as well as backtesting. If you master it, then you'll be thier Jedi Knight. May the force be with you.

I traded the FTSE this morning on a 1 hour and 15minute chart. I entered a short when the candles formed inside the bollinger line and when my moving averages crossed. The most pleasing result was maximising all the points in the trade. The training I received last week on using the CCI levels to remain in
the trade, worked perfectly and made £720 with no stress.
