Below is a chart for Cisco Systems. The chart covers a seven month period this year, up to October 2005. The chart has no indicators loaded. As one can see, it would be difficult to predict which way the price would have moved over this period as the year progressed. Chartists and technical analysts use indicators to assist them. These can be seen in the second graph below. These are fairly complicated to the untrained eye.

The same Cisco Systems chart is shown below with the usual, traditional indicators used by chartists. As one can see, the chart is more complicated to the untrained eye.

The chart below is the same chart as above but shows potential trading points indicated over the 7 month chart period. These can be seen as Accumulators followed by green Conductors, then further trading points with Conductors alone, then Distribution indicators followed by red conductors. There is also an Open Channel indicator with Accumulators and green Conductors at April/May. We're sure you will agree that the chart below is far easier to pint point potential trading points than the chart showing the traditional indicators above.
